Mr Tomi-Jae Wanlun Tjio (“Mr Tomi Tjio”) was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company on 1 March 2019. Mr Tomi Tjio is currently an Executive Director of Puxun (Singapore) Private Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, First Legacy Sdn Bhd and Asia Prestige Travels Pte Ltd. He also serves as an Executive Director at several private Limited companies across Asia.
Mr Tomi Tjio has more than 25 years of industry & commercial experience, responsible for overall strategic planning, development of corporate policies, investments and financial management. He brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in real estate, business operations, funding and assets acquisitions.
Mr Tomi Tjio has gained international work experience in United States, Hong Kong & Thailand with companies in venture funding, investments and real estate. In 2013, he co-funded SmartMedia, an ePublishing & Media Company in Singapore that was eventually acquired by a UK based Media Conglomerate in 2016.
Mr Tomi Tjio is an Associate Member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and also Member of Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Institute of Directors.
Mr Wee Heng Yi Adrian (“Mr Adrian Wee”) was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company on 19 March 2019. Mr Adrian Wee is currently a Director of Characterist LLC. He is also an Independent Director of Huationg Global Limited, as well as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a Member of its Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.
Mr Adrian Wee heads his firm’s Criminal Litigation and Advocacy Practice Group with expertise in civil and commercial and criminal litigation including commercial and securities offences, investment fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, false accounting and corruption, bookmaking and gaming offences. Mr Adrian Wee has experience managing a wide range of criminal and regulatory matters and has acted in matters involving capital offences, property, immigration, violent and sex offences. His commercial litigation portfolio includes contract disputes, breach of director’s duties, tenancy, restraint of trade, defamation, debt recovery, medical negligence, fraud on internal and external audit, compliance, disclosure and employment issues including those arising from Police investigations.
Mr Adrian Wee is an active member of the Legal Assistance Scheme of Capital Offences (LASCO), a founding member of the Association of Criminal Lawyers in Singapore (ACLS) and a volunteer lawyer with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS), a non- profit initiative by the Law Society of Singapore to provide assistance to the needy in criminal cases. He is also a member of the Law Society of Singapore and Academy of Law, Singapore.
He has also helped develop internal investigation protocols for clients in order to streamline and facilitate their internal investigation processes as well as appeared in foreign law courts as an expert witness on Singapore Law. Beyond his legal duties, Mr Adrian Wee speaks regularly at legal seminars and conferences for both legal practitioners and laypersons. He has co-authored the Singapore Civil Procedure 2007, published by Sweet and Maxwell Asia.
Adrian graduated from the National University of Singapore with LLB (Hons), is currently an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore and has been called to the bar as a Solicitor of England and Wales.
Mr Pan Ki Ro joined the Group on 12 Feb 2018 as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director. Mr Pan has more than 30 years of experience in finance and banking industry in South Korea. Mr Pan was the Chief Executive Officer of Pine Asia Asset Management Inc (“PAAM”) from 2013 to 2017.
Prior to PAAM, Mr Pan was the Chief Executive Officer of Korean Infrastructure Investments Asset Management Co from 2005 to 2009. He was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer for Korean Development Bank (“KDB”) from 2003 to 2005. He had worked in KDB since 1973.
Mr Pan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from the Graduate School of Business, Indiana University at Bloomington (USA) and a Bachelor of Law Degree from Seoul National University (Korea).
